Instructions for cell function report

Here is a peer-reviewed journal article which is relevant to the report on the cell function exercise which you are writing:

Havey, Michael J.; Claudio R. Galmarini; Ali Fuat Gökçe; and Cynthia Henson 2004. QTL affecting soluble carbohydrate concentrations in stored onion bulbs and their association with flavor and health-enhancing attributes. Genome 47:463-468.

Notice the citation style. "Genome" is the title of the journal; "47" is the volume, and "463-468" are the page numbers. Here is a link to a pdf copy of the article. Also look through the article to see how a research report is structured and formatted. Compare with the instructions for writing a research report given in Appendix A of your lab manual (Mader 2011). You will want to follow this general style and format when writing your report on the cell function exercise.

You can search for other relevant articles through SGU's EBSCOhost subscription.

The report is due by 3 March at http://www.turnitin.com. Before you can submit your paper you need to "enroll" in the bio lab course on Turnitin. Look for ClassID 3826441. The enrollment password is "enroll". Once you have enrolled in the course, you can log in with your own Turnitin username and password.
